Dream Academy 2026 | Volume One
Real stories. Young voices. Dreams without limits.
They Don't Really Care About Us is a collection of original writing from the young people of Dream Academy, a youth development initiative by Higher Learning Collective Inc.
Inspired by the theme of our 2026 Dream Academy Showcase, this book gives young people a platform to share their thoughts, experiences, emotions and dreams in their own words.
Through powerful monologues, personal reflections and creative storytelling, these young authors explore what it means to be heard, to overcome challenges, to find courage and to believe in themselves.
At its heart, this book asks an important question: Are we truly listening to our young people?
More than just a collection of writing, it represents a year of growth, creativity and confidence. For many of these students, it is an opportunity to see their words published and their voices recognised.
Every story matters. Every voice deserves to be heard. And every young person deserves the opportunity to dream.
Written by the young people of Dream Academy.
